NAPW honors Robbi Jenkins as a 2013/2014 Professional Woman of the Year for leadership in hospitality with this prestigious distinction.
As the largest, most-recognized organization of women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a powerfully vibrant networking community with nearly 500,000 members and over 400 Local Chapters.
“I was classically trained in the culinary arts and sciences in Chicago at Washburn Culinary & Pastry School, so my culinary skills make it possible for me to design technical training programs,” says Ms. Jenkins.  Since changing careers in 1994 due to her passion for food, Ms. Jenkins has been a force in the culinary world.  For the past twenty years, she has utilized her culinary expertise as chef of several reputable dining locations and has motivated and mentored countless individuals into roles of leadership.
As executive chef at Prairie Band, Ms. Jenkins consistently delivers the standards of culinary excellence that she sets for herself and her executive team in all of the resort restaurants and food service venues.  She expertly selects food products from a range of purveyors utilized by the resort and engages in menu creation, event planning and catering.  Leading a team of seven salaried personnel and 56 hourly team members in four dining outlets, Ms. Jenkins ensures that only the highest quality of service is delivered to her customers.
Apart from these exceptional accomplishments, Ms. Jenkins has built a food rescue initiative program that donates recoverable foods to a local behavioral healthcare center feeding those who lack the resources to provide daily nutrition.  The program has donated 6,776 pounds of food to date.  “Being a chef and achieving executive chef rank was always my career goal.  I am in a unique, coveted position of being able to express my creative and innovative inclinations,” she says.
NAPW provides an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect, learn and achieve.  Through innovative resources, unique tools and progressive benefits, professional women interact, exchange idea, advance their knowledge and empower each other.
